OSHA/Safety Partnership
The Builders Association's long tradition of helping Chicagoland's construction workers come home safe at the end of the day continues through the Builders Association Safety Partnership with OSHA. While the relationship between OSHA inspectors and contractors can be adversarial, the Partnership helps to encourage a cooperative relationship.
Member companies are given goals they need to reach to remain in the Partnership, and the Gold, Silver and Bronze Levels of the Partnership encourage those companies to make already strong safety programs even stronger.
To reach the Bronze Level, a company must develop and implement a written safety and health program, conduct a weekly employee safety meeting and document self-audits.
