Topics Sought For GreenTown Lake County

GreenTown Lake County, an all-day program slated for March 18 at the College of Lake County, is currently inviting people to submit an abstract on topics to be presented at the meeting.
Builders Association Board of Directors member Leon LaJeunesse of Custom Contracting, Ltd. is also a member of the GreenTown Lake County Advisory Committee, which is putting together a program designed to explore strategies to create vibrant and sustainable communities.
Abstracts should be no longer than 250 words and be submitted via email. Topics may include items related to:

Transportation

Local, sustainable food & agriculture

Farm to school

Smart Growth
-
Food residuals diversion & composting
-
Landfill waste diversion
-
Green jobs and economic development
-
Climate change mitigation and adaptation
Submissions are due by January 7, and you will be notified if your paper has been accepted by January 22.
