Safety Stand Down
June 12, 2013, 9:00am-12:30pm
Throughout the Chicagoland Area
June 12th, 2013 marked the inauguration of the Builders Association's Safety Stand Down. Over 70 jobsites between 14 contractors across Chicagoland stopped work for 30 minutes to discuss safety on the job. The hot topic this year was falls- the most frequently cited standard.
This year's Stand Down offered jobsites the opportunity to experience effective communication of safety policies, review goals and expectations through all levels of the team, and improved employee morale. We look forward to continuing this new tradition for the safety of our laborers in years to come.
Thank you for your ongoing safety and health commitment. We were proud to Stand Down with you to address exposure to hazards, raise awareness, and hopefully eliminate needless tragedies.
The Builders Association would like to recognize the Steering Committee for all of their hard work towards making the Stand Down a success:
Another special thanks to Dan Ramir of The Hill Group for translating the Committee's curriculum presentation from English into Spanish.
