The Construction Safety Act (HB2094) has not been brought to a vote in Springfield. According to the Builders Association’s lobbyist, the reenactment of the Structural Work Act is currently five votes away from being passed.  The SWA would need even more votes to pass the House of Representatives if it is brought to a vote after May 31.

Illinois Works needs support from your business. Illinois Works is a $25 billion capital improvement plan that would open up a number of construction companies statewide.  The Illinois Works Coalition needs your help to promote these ideas, since the last capital improvement plan was passed nearly 10 years ago.

Be sure to contact your legislator, letting them know that you support Illinois Works and the positive effect it would have on your community and your business.  View the talking points, tips, and sample messages on the Government section of our website to get started.
