Last year, Builders Association members helped raise over $30,000 to fund scholarships for students seeking a future in construction. Join us as we try to beat that mark at the Builders Foundation Golf Outing, Wednesday, July 30 at Makray Memorial Golf Club in Barrington.

Reward your employees and support the Builders Foundation scholarship fund at the same time by taking part in this The event will begin with lunch at 11 a.m., followed by a round on Makray's beautiful course. A dinner, cocktail reception and raffle will begin at 6 p.m. Sign up for the entire event for $300 per person, and members who can't make it for golf can attend the reception only for $75. You can fax your registration form to the Builders Association at 847.318.8586 or register for the event online.

Your company can also help the Foundation by sponsoring the event. New sponsorship opportunities this year include the Cooler Sponsorship ($3,000), which would put your company's logo on coolers sized to fit into a golf bag or the back of most golf carts, and the Sunscreen Sponsorship, which would put your company's logo on small bottles of sunscreen handed to every golfer before play begins. Sponsorships will be awarded on a first-come, first-serve basis, so contact Andy Cole at 847.318.8585 for more information.

The Golf Outing is the main fundraiser for the Builders Foundation, which provides $3,000 renewable scholarships for students majoring in Construction Management or Civil Engineering.

Bradley University junior Kyle Johnson, Ball State University junior Dana Wessman and University of Illinois sophomore Erik Johnson have been named this year's scholarship recipients, bringing the total number of students the Foundation has helped to 18. For more information on the Foundation, the scholarships or the Golf Outing, contact Mike Schultze at 847.318.8585.
