Construction is an industry that demands high levels of leadership because so many different things are happening at any one time. This leadership workshop will help you become a stronger leader, which will be reflected in your future in the construction industry.

The workshop is intended for anyone with a leadership role in the industry, including corporate officers, project engineers, estimators, area managers and safety managers.

The seven modules at the workshop include everything from an overview of what leadership is within the construction industry to styles and strategies for improving your leadership skills through improved communication, coaching and adjusting to change.

Bill Krausen designed the program, which is based on his leadership development model for Messer Construction.

Participants will be eligible to receive 2.7 IACET CEUs. To receive these credits, participants must arrive on time, attend the entire program, complete the evaluation and take a post-program online exam and get a score of 75% or higher.

The tuition fee of $2,495 for AGC members and $3.085 for non-members includes three nights' hotel accommodations (the night before the workshop and the two nights of the workshop are included), all meals at the hotel and instructional materials.

The workshop is limited to 24 students so that the class size can be small enough for optimal learning opportunities, but since there aren't many openings, make sure to register soon. The latest day for registration--if spots remain available--is Sept. 8.
