AGC's April City-By-City Construction Figures

The AGC of America released City-by-City Construction Figures, showing gains and losses in construction employment from April 2009 to April 2010.

 The Chicago-Joliet-Naperville, IL Division is ranked 305 on the list, with a 12-month loss of 23,100 jobs in the construction industry. The Chicago area had 135,100 construction jobs in April 2009, but this decreased by 17 percent, to 112,000 jobs by April 2010.

 Lake County-Kenosha County, IL-WI Division is ranked 322 with a 21 percent loss of construction jobs for the year, totalling 3,100. Kankakee-Bradley, IL, ranked 18, stayed steady for the 12-month period without any losses or gains in employment.
