How to join

There are three membership categories: regular, associate, and affiliate.  In order to join, simply download the application below that corresponds to your company's business type.  Then, mail or fax your membership documents to the Builders Association:

Regular members

Application

Any person, firm or corporation capable of undertaking construction work as a prime contractor with overall responsibility for the satisfactory completion of the project.

Dues: Annual General Contractor Dues are based on Gross Construction Sales Volume during the prior fiscal year. (Please see the dues table form for rates.) Dues also include membership in the Associated General Contractors of America (AGC), a value worth up to $4,000.

Associate members

Application

A specialty contractor applying for associate membership is eligible to assign labor contract bargaining rights to the Builders Association.

Dues: Annual Specialty Contractor Associate Dues are $650 and includes membership in the Associated General Contractors of America (AGC). 

Affiliate members

Application

A supplier member is any company who serves the construction industry.

Dues: Annual Supplier Dues are $650 and includes membership in the Associated General Contractors of America (AGC).

AGC membership

AGC is the national voice of the construction industry and is an organization of over 36,000 construction contractors and industry related companies. The Builders Association is the Chicago area chapter of the AGC. We are the only association that provides AGC membership to those companies headquartered in Cook, Lake or DuPage counties.  Membership with AGC provides you with a host of benefits, including national representation,  access to their expansive catalog of business resources, invitations to national conferences, and government representation on a federal level.
