Emerging Contractors

In February of 2009, the Builders Association's Board of Directors established a new membership category: Emerging Contractors. The Builders Association is dedicated to supporting new and small contractors as they become fixtures on Chicagoland's construction landscape, and now general contractors fitting certain criteria can take full advantage of Association membership at a discounted rate.

An Emerging Contractor is defined as a firm or corporation capable of undertaking construction work as a prime contractor with overall responsibility for satisfactory completion of the project. The contractor must have an annual volume less than $5 million.

Emerging Contractor membership in the Association is available on the following discounted dues structure:

  • First-year contractor: $600
  • Second-year: $800
  • Third-year: $1000
  • Fourth-year: $1200
  • Fifth-year: $1400
