Fighting For Contractors' Interests

The Builders Association ensures that contractors' interests are represented in legislation by:

  • Supporting construction and business-friendly bills
  • Opposing bills that will have a negative impact on the industry and impede the ability of Builders Association members to do business
  • Monitoring bills introduced in the Illinois General Assembly and the City of Chicago
  • Supporting legislators and candidates who are pro-business and are advocates of legislation that benefits the construction industry through PAC (Political Action Committee) funds
  • Drafting legislation that will improve and expand opportunities for Builders Association members

Representing Construction Nationally

The Builders Association's affiliation with the AGC of America, the most powerful proponent of national construction legislation, continues to forge strategic relationships with several industry organizations and government agencies to help fuel business expansion and protect members from new and costly environmental legislation.
